This is a huge pet peeve with agents. If you aren’t willing to get pre-qualified how does an agent know what properties to show you?

NO!!! Your agent works for you and it is their responsibility to show you properties. If they can’t meet your expectations, then you might consider getting another agent.

Agents don’t run around showing houses so another agent can ultimately write the contract and collect the commission.

The general public thinks real estate agents are somehow compensated by a company for their time. Agents are independent contractors and are only paid if you make it to the closing table.

Let’s Look at properties $100,000 Over My Budget..Maybe they Will negotiate

Absolutely NOT! If you are approved for $250,000, we are looking at homes $250,000 or below. If you find your dream home, be prepared to pay what the seller is asking. Most listing agents have done their homework and the listing price is a fair market value.

That is not to say some seller won’t make any concessions or negotiate, but you will need to make that happen with homes in your budget.

Looking at homes above your budget is a time waster for everyone involved.

Oh My Gosh!!! Zillow is NOT the KNOW ALL of real estate. Zillow is an online portal that takes a general average of properties and “Viola”, they give you a value. Real Estate Agents Don’t Want to Hear That!
